Laughing at yourself!

My middle-class-faux-elegant dining room table now houses two laptops: a MacBook and a Dell, just to prove that I’m an equal opportunity wannabe nerd.

Along side sit my iPhone and iPad.

I get an idea that I want to commit to writing before it goes to the Land of Lost Thoughts where some of my best stuff awaits some small spark from an aging, atrophied synapse.

What do I do?

Go the other room and get a legal pad and a pen, of course.

I then indulge in a moment of laughing at myself: all of that expensive technology, like a closet full of new clothes, but I still want my old slippers.

OK, so it’s not that funny.

Laugh at yourself about something that is not that funny to other people and see how you feel!
