Teleos
Teleology ebbs and flows in popularity.
The Greeks, Aristotle, predominantly, believed that nature was teleological.
Teleology, loosely translated, means that everything in nature is programmed to move towards a specific end.
An acorn’s teleos is to become an oak tree.
